We Used to Take the Long Way Home" Screening at AAIFF48

We're excited to announce that our latest film, "We Used to Take the Long Way Home," will screen at this year's Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF) on Saturday, August 9th.

Directed by An Nguyen, this coming-of-age road movie follows a teenage girl returning to Vietnam for the first time since middle school. Armed with her camera, she reunites with childhood friends for a summer road trip to "Lake Perfect," attempting to reconnect with the past she left behind. What she discovers is how quietly but profoundly time has reshaped everything she once knew.

The film explores themes of memory, belonging, and identity through the lens of the immigrant experience—navigating the complex emotions of returning to a homeland that feels both familiar and foreign.

Screening Details:

  • Date: Saturday, August 9th, 1:00-3:00 PM
