First Official Stills Released for “The Park”
The first official stills for The Park, the latest short film written, directed, and shot by Max Retik, have been released today. Starring Katherine Cozumel (Veronica in Switch Up at SXSW, Cheryl in The Wonder Years on ABC and Hulu), the film is set entirely in Kenneth Hahn Park in Los Angeles.
About the film: When her boyfriend disappears into the sprawling wilderness of Kenneth Hahn Park, Willow embarks on a relentless search to find him. But as the days stretch on, she descends into a feral existence, becoming one with the untamed park itself.
A personal project created by Retik inspired by the real story of losing a beloved pet in the same park which caused him to spend the next 3 months searching every day, the film was made partially as a way of processing that grief.
Currently in post-production, The Park is a suspenseful tale of transformation and survival, set against the backdrop of Los Angeles’ iconic urban wilderness. Check out the stills below!
